MotionPort is a FunctionBay authorized distributor of RecurDyn Multibody Dynamics Simulation software, both selling and supporting the software in North America.
MotionPort is an ANSYS software partner through FunctionBay. FunctionBay added capabilities to RecurDyn to export load data to ANSYS and import modal results from ANSYS. MotionPort established and facilitates the relationship between ANSYS and FunctionBay.
RecurDyn can be coupled with solid particle dynamics software EDEM to optimize the design of heavy equipment such as excavators, plows, and off-road vehicles. Combining RecurDyn with EDEM allows engineers to introduce realistic bulk material behaviors to their multi-body dynamics simulations, and offers engineers unrivaled insight into how material loads are transferred throughout a mechanical system.
MotionPort is a partner with AutoDesk software through FunctionBay, by offering interoperability with Simulation Mechanical. The interoperability allows users to run modal analysis of finite element meshed flexible bodies within Simulation Mechanical, and then export those modal results to RecurDyn in order to represent flexible bodies within multibody dynamic systems, using RecurDyn/RFlex. See a demonstration of this interoperability.
MotionPort is a Siemens Solution Partner through FunctionBay, which supplies Multibody Dynamics Simulation solver technology to NX Motion. FunctionBay added capabilities to RecurDyn to export load data to NX Nastran and import modal results from NX Nastran. MotionPort established and facilitates the relationship between FunctionBay and Siemens.
