Abstract
To study the hybrid hydraulic excavator boom energy recovery process, multiple dynamics software RecurDyn is used to establish realistic models of hydraulic excavator working devices, Simulink is used to establish the hydraulic circuit and the energy recovery system model. Boom Energy Recovery of hybrid excavator energy recovery process is simulated by the joint using of RecurDyn and Simulink software. Energy recovery process is controlled by fuzzy PID control strategy, so that the process of energy recovery can achieve higher efficiency. Result of co-simulation shows that the energy recovery system can be controlled well in fuzzy PID control strategy, with which the energy recovery system can achieve comparatively higher efficiency.
How Multibody Dynamics Simulation Technology is Used
RecurDyn was used in a co-simulation with Simulink to design an energy recovery system of a hydraulic excavator. RecurDyn was used to model the dynamics, and Simulink was used for control algorithms. The control strategy was proven to be efficient without the need for a costly prototype.
