RecurDyn Simulation of Stresses in Ball Bearing

RecurDyn FFlex (Full Flex) was used to model part of this bearing’s outer ring as a flexible body, so that internal stresses within that part could be determined. The contour plot on this part is of Von Mises stress. RecurDyn FFlex not only lets you model flexible bodies undergoing large motion within multibody systems, but also can model complex interaction with other bodies such as rolling and sliding contact, as demonstrated with this model.
